Welcome to the Library Media Center web site. We look forward to serving you.

The goal of the library is to provide a variety of books and materials to support curriculum and promote a lifelong love of reading. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere where you can read, study, and use the computers in an intelligent and responsible manner.

You must have your student I.D. to check out a book!

Our library collection is online (OPAC). You can search for a book by Title, Author, Subject or Series. It will tell you where the book is located and if it is available for check out. Library books are checked out for a two week period and renewed twice. Please return books when you are finished with them so that they are available to other students. You may check out materials ONLY for yourself. You are responsible for lost and damaged books.

Reference Materials are not checked out. You may use them in the library only.

Remember: Students will be held responsible for any book charged to their library account, including lost or damaged ones.

Computers in the library are used for school assignments only!

 

Please be aware of what your child is reading. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to know what their child is reading. Our library houses a collection of books with a wide range of reading and maturity levels. If you have any concerns regarding specific books, please feel free to contact the librarian. Together we can make the VMSA library the best it can be for all our students.
