Mr. Rizzie
Greetings,
My name is Mr. Rizzie, and I'm teaching 6th and 7th grade Social Studies/History here at Valadez Middle School Academy during the 2020-21 school year. This will be my 16th year teaching. I taught Earth Science for 15 years at Valencia High School prior to transferring to Valadez M.S. to teach history.
My educational background:
- I earned my M.Ed. in Cross-cultural Teaching from National University.
- I received my B.A. in History with minor in Geology from California State University, Fullerton.
- I also possess an A.A. in General Studies from Orange Coast College.
- I hold CA single-subject teaching credentials in Social Science and Geoscience.
A little bit more about me...
- I'm happily married to my wonderful wife, who is also a teacher.
- I really enjoy nature and the outdoors and love camping, surfing, hiking, exploring, and wildlife-watching.
- I love baseball (Go Angels!).
- I'm an admitted 'video game geek'!
- My favorite subjects are history and the earth sciences. I love learning about history and science and sharing that knowledge as a teacher.
